Part Warranty Statement
  1. Part Warranty (excluding Specialty Components as defined below).


1.1. GE HealthCare Parts. Each GE HealthCare part will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service, and will perform substantially in accordance with GE HealthCare’s written specifications (as they exist on the date the part is shipped)for a period of 120 days for new, refurbished and repaired parts, and 90 days for harvested/used parts, starting on the delivery date of the part.

1.2. Non-GE HealthCare Parts. Each non-GE HealthCare part will be free from defects in material under normal use and service for a period of 90 days for new, refurbished and repaired parts, and 30 days for used parts, starting on the delivery date of the part.


2.1. GE HealthCare Specialty Components. Each GE HealthCare detector, probe, tube or image intensifier ("Specialty Component") will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service, and will perform substantially in accordance with GE HealthCare’s written specifications (as they exist on the date the Specialty Component is shipped) for the time-period identified in the table below starting on the delivery date of the Specialty Component.

2.2. Non-GE HealthCare Specialty Components. Each non-GE HealthCare Specialty Component will be free from defects in material under normal use and service for the time-period identified in the table below starting on the delivery date of the Specialty Component.

(a) The period following start of warranty during which a 100% warranty is provided.

(b) The maximum period during which a Pro Rata warranty allowance is provided. The Pro Rata warranty allowance is calculated as:

number of months between date of warranty commencement and date of failure complete warranty period

Customer must pay the then-current price of the Specialty Component replacement less the Pro Rata warranty allowance (a fraction of a month less than 15 days will be disregarded, and a fraction of a month equal to or greater than 15 days will be regarded as a full month).

Product Overview

The Carescape™ R860 combines sophisticated technology and an intuitive user interface. The ventilator consists of a display, ventilator unit, cart with AC outlet (optional), EVair compressor (optional), and module bay with the gas module (optional). A wide selection of performance options gives the user full control of the system configuration. This ventilator is a complete system featuring patient ventilation, monitoring, and the capability of interfacing with central monitoring. The full touchscreen capability allows the user to quickly and easily accesses patient information and procedures. It supports adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. The technical reference manual for Carescape™ R860 ventilator covers the service information for the Display Unit, Integral electronics, Gas delivery components and Frame components. The essential performance of the system consists of delivery of ventilation at the patient-connection port within the alarm limits set by the operator or the generation of an alarm. The performance of the system are maintained through using this manual for repair, maintenance and the calibrations. The GE product is an innovation and technology which fits well into versatile customer needs. The product is securely packaged inside a high quality packing box to avoid physical damage during transit.
