If you are over 18 and gain a licence to operate a vehicle loading crane, then this is the training for you.

The Vehicle Loading Crane Licence – known commonly as CV or HIAB, is required for those who will work a CV with an MRC exceeding 10 mtr 1 Tonne Rule . Nationally recognised training unit is TLILIC0024 (supersedes TLILIC0002). Successful completion of this training means participants can apply for the required high risk work licence (HRWL).Our personalised training for you is helped by fully qualified crane training experts either onsite for groups – or at our training centres.

The Vehicle Loading Crane training covers all aspects of planning, preparation, operating plus pack-up and is based on the licensing requirements of the Model WHS regulations. Course meets HRWL requirements and is assessed in line with the National Assessment Instrument (NAI).

This is a nationally recognised crane licence course, key for operations staff involved in transport and logistics operations. The course covers the skills and knowledge to operate a vehicle loading crane with a maximum rated capacity (MRC) exceeding 10 mtr 1 tonne rule. The training for the loading crane includes the planning, preparation, execution and pack up activities of this crane that is set up on a transport vehicle for the purpose of loading or unloading that vehicle. This CV Licence training is delivered by skilled instructors who have many years of experience operating this type of crane. It is important to note that this licence is part of the requirements to qualify for a High Risk Work licence (HRWL). National Assessment Instrument (NAI) is the mandated assessment for the HRWL to operate the relevant licencing class. Applying for a Licence to Operate a vehicle loading Crane – Important Information

It is important you understand that this licence-focused training itself does not give you your high risk licence. However, assuming you pass your Vehicle Loading Crane assessment you have 60 days to apply (and be assessed) for your high risk work licence.

Perth High Risk Licence Applications Additional Support Options Available for Perth-based applicants:

Currently, you have to renew your licence within 12 months of its expiry otherwise your high risk work licence can’t be renewed, you will have to repeat this training course and re-apply for your licence or re-enrol in the course again and be supervised by somebody who has a current licence for the same class.

TRAINING OUTCOME

If you successfully complete this course, you will receive a certificate which indicates the Statement of Attainments as recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This is a nationally recognised certification. The Statement is issued by us, Harness Energy (RTO 40521).

The Vehicle Loading Crane Licence ‘Statement of attainment’ is for the Nationally Accredited Units of Competency:

The Certificate is usually needed as evidence for your employer for safety and compliance requirements. In Queensland, you must complete your own online application for a new Queensland HRW Licence on meeting all the licence requirements

Resits – If you are required to resit, fees are charged at full course rate and you will be required to attend another 3 full days of training.
