A Michigan Lease Termination Letter is a document used to end qualifying lease agreements. Most often, it is used to terminate a month-to-month lease.
Any party may terminate the lease at any time, but a 30-day notice must be given to the other party. A Michigan 30-day notice to quit is an example of such a letter that a landlord can use to terminate a month-to-month tenancy without cause. The tenant must be given at least one month’s notice before eviction proceedings can begin if they continue to occupy the property.
